Aspetti metodologici dell’onomastica letteraria

Abstract

Literary onomastics teeters between literary studies and linguistic onomastics. Therefore it is often the case that specialists in literature show little understanding of onomastics, while linguistically orientated onomasticians sometimes lack an understanding of literary theory. In this paper, after giving examples of this lack of interdisciplinary understanding, I propose different ways in which literary studies and linguistic onomastics can work together fruitfully, taking advantage of new developments like text linguistics and pragmaonomastics as well as computerized literary onomastics.
