Roberta De Felici è Professore Associato di Lingua e Traduzione Francese presso l’Università della Calabria. Specialista del romanzo e del teatro naturalista (Ed. Duranty, Ed. e J. de Goncourt, J.-H. Rosny Aîné, E. Zola), attualmente si interessa alla letteratura d’espressione francese moderna (B. Fondane, P. Istrati) e all’estremo contemporaneo (F. Mihali,A.Nothomb, R. Millet). Tra le sue pubblicazioni: alcune monografie (Le roman préhistorique de J.-H. Rosny, 2006,Gli adattamenti teatrali di Edmond de Goncourt, 2011) ed edizioni critiche (J.-H. Rosny Aîné, Nell’Horn de l’armée du salut, Garnier, 2011; Ed. de Goncourt, La Faustin, Champion, 2018).

Abstract
In this paper, we analyze the use of pseudonyms by J.-H. Rosny Aîné, the author of the well-known novel The War of fire (1911). Behind the pseudonym «Rosny», used from 1890 to 1909, lie two Belgian authors: Joseph Henri Honoré Boex and his younger brother Séraphin Justin François Boex.
