Abstract
This is a short essay dealing with two disneyan parodies of I promessi sposi, I Promessi Paperi (by Edoardo Segantini and Giulio Chierchini) and I Promessi Topi (by Bruno Sarda and Franco Valussi). The aim is to find out how the characters’ names chosen by Manzoni have been alterated and how the parodistic translation could offer interesting reference, either well-defined or hidden, to its model and to others literary sources.
