Abstract
In Romanic culture the jester is a manifold person, usually associated with a name which does not indicate any particular individual, but defines, instead, those functions, features or particular conditions which constitute a mask. On the other hand, the later jester-poet figure was endowed with an authorial conscience which restores importance to the onomastic element.
