Abstract
This study focuses on the onomastics of the CBS science-fiction crime drama Person of Interest, paying particular attention to the web of hidden and false names spun in the first three seasons of the show, in order to demonstrate that this continuous recourse to aliases and false identities is structural to the screenplay of a series, whose main characters – the billionaire software engineer and bibliophile Harold Finch and the former U.S. Army and CIA black operation officer John Reese – are both presumed dead and «invisible».
